Sampson Adedeji
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the procedure for the draw of the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Although the official date for the draw is yet to be announced, CAF has already disclosed the team compositions for the three pots.
Pot 1 will include the host nation, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal (the defending champions), and Nigeria (who finished third in the previous edition), with all teams seeded.
Pot 2 will feature Congo, Egypt, and Zambia, the top-ranked teams from the group stage two years ago. Pot 3 consists of six teams: Ghana, DR Congo, Morocco, Sierra Leone, Kenya, South Africa, and Tanzania.
Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, and Nigeria will be placed in the first positions of Groups A, B, and C, respectively.
Teams in Pot 2 will occupy the second spots in each group, while those in Pot 3 will be assigned to the final positions.
