Badminton Federation Of Nigeria Appoints Blessing Ekwe Chisalam As COO

The Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) has officially appointed Blessing Ekwe Chisalam as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

A passionate sports enthusiast and skilled sports scientist, Ms. Chisalam holds a master’s degree in sports management.

Her extensive experience and dedication to the field make her an ideal fit for this role.

This appointment comes at a crucial moment for Nigerian badminton, which has experienced significant growth at both the grassroots and international levels.

Recognized as one of the country’s fastest-growing sports, the Badminton Federation of Nigeria is poised for further progress.

Hon. Bukola Olopade, Director General of the National Sports Commission, emphasized that the BFN must continue to strive for higher goals.

In a statement, Francis Orbih, President of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria, stressed the importance of a COO who shares the federation’s vision.

He stated: “We need someone who can project badminton in a positive light and align with our dreams and goals as a federation. Ms. Blessing’s expertise in sports science and sports management makes her the right person to help us drive the growth of badminton in Nigeria.”

As COO, Ms. Chisalam will work to expand the federation's outreach, enhance its economic appeal, improve its programs and administration, and create more competitive opportunities for Nigerian badminton.

With her wealth of experience in sports administration and management, Ms. Chisalam is set to play a key role in advancing Nigerian badminton in line with the National Sports Commission’s objectives.
