Nigeria’s Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, is on the brink of a return to English football, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Okoye departed Championship side Watford in 2023 to join Udinese in the Italian Serie A and played a crucial role in helping his club avoid relegation later that year.

Now, Premier League side Bournemouth has identified him as a potential replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga, who is set to return to Chelsea at the end of the season.

Kepa, currently on loan at the Vitality Stadium, is expected to rejoin his parent club, prompting Bournemouth to turn their attention to Okoye as his successor.
