Gideon Manaseh Shines In Debut With Ikorodu City

Ikorodu City FC newly acquired player, Gideon Manaseh was a delight to watch as he came on to help his team defeat Kwara United in NPFL matchday 23, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Manaseh is one of the twelve players the Lagos based team unveiled on Monday to bolster the club performance for the remainder of the league season.

Unlike many newly signed players, the skillful left footer debuted as a cameo cheering the home fans with his display during the game last weekend at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.

Before the beginning of the second stanza, Ikorodu City FC registered 12 players; while five are from the academy seven are new players.

The Lagos team fought back from 1-0 down to defeat the Afonja Warriors who drew the first blood in the first minute through Junior Aimufua. 

Not relenting, the home team struck in the 7th minute for the equaliser as Toheeb Ajeyigbe slammed in the goal off low cross from Waliu Ojetoye

The winning goal came in the 64th minute from a brilliant near post header by Shola Adelani to put the team in a jubilant mood. Ikorodu City are 7th on the log with 34 points from 23 matches.
