Iheanacho Likely To Observe A Minutes Silent On His Middlesbrough Debut

Newly signed Middlesbrough striker, Kelechi Iheanacho is likely to observe a minute silence should he make his club debut next Wednesday against Sheffield United, bsnsports.com.ng reports.
Iheanacho, on Monday joined Boro on loan from Sevilla following his unimpressive stats with the Spanish side. Few hours after his arrival, the club via verified Twitter handle confirmed the death of its legend, Derek McLean who passed away @92.
“ We’re saddened to learn of the passing of former player Derek McLean at the age of 92. Derek scored 30 goals across nine seasons for Boro after making his debut in the 1955/1956 season. Our condolences go out to his family and friends,” the club stated.
If the post is anything to go by, the Nigerian striker, before the kick-off is likely to join other member of the team in paying a minute tribute to the legend.
Meanwhile, he’ll also be aiming to redeem his career which has seen him played for Man City, Leicester and Sevilla. The club currently on 7th on the English Championship table will also bank on his experience in order to finish top of the log.
