LOSC Lille manager Bruno Genesio has outlined expectations for newly signed striker Chuba Akpom, stressing the importance of adapting to the club's principles, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Akpom made an impressive debut, scoring in his first match for Lille, though the team suffered a loss.

While praising Akpom's performance, Genesio emphasized the need for improvement in upcoming games.

"Scoring is always a positive sign for a striker. Chuba was quick to capitalize on the opportunity. He is a player who still needs to settle in with us," the coach said on the club's official website.

"He still has to fully understand certain principles and our expectations. It's great that he scored; it should boost his confidence and provide us with something extra as we head into the rest of the season."
