The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) is stepping in to assist Liberia with the renovation of its Antoinette Tubman Stadium, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In an announcement on their official Facebook page, the Liberian Football Federation (LFA) revealed that the renovation works at the stadium in Monrovia are being funded by the FRMF.

The stadium, which has a capacity of approximately 10,000 seats, will be equipped with advanced water drainage technology as part of the renovation.

This collaboration stems from an ongoing partnership between the two organisations, which began in 2020.

According to the LFA's statement, the latest phase of renovations includes the installation of an underground drainage system for the stadium’s water management.

The renovation project is part of a technical cooperation agreement signed between the LFA and FRMF in 2020. It also involves the construction of a water station to supply water to both the pitch and the surrounding facilities, as well as the installation of a state-of-the-art playing surface.

The ultimate goal is to upgrade the stadium to meet the standards set by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
