The Akwa Ibom State Football Association has rewarded Akwa United with N100,000 following their 2-1 victory over Enyimba, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Chairman of the state FA, Mr. Samuel Umoh, presented the donation on behalf of the association, stating that it was meant to motivate the team and encourage further successes in their remaining matches of the season.

“We, in the Football Association, are proud of your victory today. It brings us immense joy, as well as to the fans who attended the match,” Umoh said.

“Our responsibility is to create an environment that nurtures the beautiful game in this state, and we want to assure you that we fully support this team. We’ll continue to back you as you aim for success this season and beyond.”

“The team’s performance today was commendable, and we are certain the fans who came out enjoyed the display. This victory is encouraging, and we are confident there will be more great wins in the upcoming matches.”

Acknowledging the limited resources available, Umoh added, “Although we don’t have much to give, we understand that the team requires encouragement. Therefore, we are presenting this token of N100,000 as a gesture of support. Keep up the great work, and we believe this team will finish the season on a high note,” he concluded.
