NPFL 25: Abia Warriors Forward Anticipates Maximum Points Against Bendel Insurance Clash

Super Eagles B and Abia Warriors forward, Sunday Megwo has expressed optimism that his team will pick the maximum points against Bendel Insurance, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Umu Chineke Boys will take on the Benin Arsenals in Sunday's match day 29 clash at the Umuahia Township Stadium.

The Umuahia-born goal poacher, who featured for the Imama Amapakabo's led side in their 1-0 away defeat to Plateau United last Sunday in Jos, explained that the team is working very hard to get the needed result after last weekend's outcome.

"Yes, it is a vital game for us because of what happened against Plateau United last Sunday in Jos. We learnt a lot from the game and have been working hard to improve more as a team.

"It won't be an easy game against Insurance, because they're one of the most in-form teams in the league. So, we have to put up a solid team performance to have a chance of securing the three points."

The forward, who has bagged eight goals and three assists this season for the Umu Chineke Boys, said that they still have hopes of fighting for a continental spot and a victory against Bendel Insurance will keep them in a strong position ahead of the final nine games of the season.

"We still have a clear chance of fighting for a continental spot, and if we still get the maximum points this weekend, it will help to put us in a good position, but there are still nine more games to go after this weekend's games.

 "I'm very confident that we will secure the needed result against Insurance come Sunday," he concluded.
