Precious Oham
Kwara United ended the 8-game unbeaten run of Shooting Stars in a rescheduled 2024/2025 NPFL encounter, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
A goal in each half by Kabiru Muhammed and Ojifinni Abdullahi gave Kwara United the maximum points against their visitors to end their unbeaten run after 78 calendar days.
In Benin City, Enyimba FC continued to struggle after losing one-nil to Bendel Insurance at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
Kayode Oke's 55th-minute effort was all the Benin Arsenals needed to compound the woes of the People's Elephant, who have only won two games in their last ten NPFL matches. Meanwhile,
Kano Pillars bounced back to winning ways after snatching a late winner against visiting El-Kanemi Warriors.
Rabiu Ali had opened the scoring for the hosts from the spot in the 62nd minute before Al-Amin Umar pulled out the equalizer from the spot too.
A late goal by Rashid Alasan at the stroke of the 90th minute gave Kano Pillars their first win after four games.
