Niger Tornadoes midfielder, Victor Okoro has praised the team's solid performance after they secured a vital 1-0 win over Katsina United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Ikon Allah Boys on Friday got the better of the visitors in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match day 29 encounter at the Lafia City Stadium.

The Enugu-born holding midfielder featured for 75 minutes after making a return to the side from an injury that kept him out of last Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Rivers United.

While speaking shortly after the encounter, the midfielder revealed his excitement with the team's performance, saying that they showed character and determination to bounce back to winning ways.

"Yes, I'm happy that we won, because it is an important three points for us. We knew that it was going to be a difficult game, and we had to put up a spectacle team performance which helped us to secure the maximum points.

"However, it was a hard-fought game for us, because Katsina United proved that they are really a good side with the way they performed in the game, but we also showed good character, togetherness and team spirit to come out with the victory," he concluded.
