Nweke, Lawal bag hat-tricks in Cool Hopefuls Cup MatchDay One

MatchDay One of the Cool Hopefuls Cup preseason/scouting tournament recorded an exciting scoring of goals, with a total of 15 goals scored. Emmanuel Nweke from B. E Arena FC and Shile Lawal from FC Ebedei were the standout performers, each netting a hat-trick for their respective teams.
The tournament opener, sponsored by Ebedei Sports College, took place at the FC Ebedei Stadium in Apele-Sagamu. In a historic moment, FC Ebedei JNRS captain Kenedy John scored the first and winning goal from the penalty spot in the 38th minute against Elebuibon Boyz.
In another thrilling match, The Lord's Favour FA and Wonderxchange FC played to a 2-2 draw. The first half ended without any goals, but the game sprang to life in the second half. Rafael Favour gave The Lord's Favour FA the lead in the 50th minute, followed by Emeka Eyeribe, who scored four minutes later.
Wonderxchange FC fought back after an unfortunate own goal by The Lord's Favour FA defence in the 67th minute. In the closing minutes of the match, Mighty Aderibigbe scored to equalise for Wonderxchange FC, ending the game in a stalemate.
B. E Arena FC delivered an impressive performance, defeating SDK FC 5-0. Emmanuel Nweke opened the scoring in the 10th minute and quickly followed it up with goals in the 13th and 26th minutes, completing his hat-trick by halftime. Nnadoie Kosisochukwu added two more goals in the second half to seal the victory.
The final match of MatchDay 1 showcased impressive skills and goal-scoring. While Lawal scored the first goal after a couple of near misses, giving his team a two-goal cushion in the 19th minute. This prompted AAYK FC to alter their tactics, and they soon capitalised on a defensive error, with Emmanuel Olawale scoring from close range.
In the second half, Fanen Tekula of FC Ebedei earned a penalty after being fouled in the box in the 65th minute. Miracle Osekene converted the penalty, bringing FC Ebedei's tally to three goals. Six minutes from the final whistle, Shile Lawal secured his hat-trick, putting the finishing touch on an impressive performance.
Action continues on Tuesday at the FC Ebedei Stadium, featuring four exciting fixtures, with two matches scheduled to take place simultaneously in the morning and evening.
