Rivers Angels Head Coach, Tosan Blankson, has called on its teeming fans to come out en masse and support the team against Bayelsa Queens, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The stage is set for a thrilling showdown at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Wednesday as Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt take on Bayelsa Queens in match week five of the Nigeria Women's Football League.

In his pre-match thoughts, Blankson said the Jewels of Rivers are battle-ready for the much-anticipated tie.

"We're ready for whatever Bayelsa Queens throw at us," declared head coach Tosan Blankson.

"My girls are mentally and psychologically prepared to take on the challenge.

"We appreciate the maximum support from the fans and good people of Rivers State. We need them to cheer us on to victory on Wednesday."

The two teams have a recent history, with Rivers Angels defeating Bayelsa Queens 1-0 in Port Harcourt and playing out a 1-1 draw in Yenagoa last season.
