Super Eagles Striker Gets Blackburn Rovers No.42 shirt

Ahead of his debut for Blackburn Rovers in the Emirates FA Cup against Wolverhampton on Sunday, Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis has been assigned the club's No. 42 shirt, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Championship club announced that all six of Rovers' January signings have been included in its 25-man squad for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign, with squad numbers confirmed for three deadline-day recruits.

Yuri Ribeiro, who joined on a deal until the end of the season from Braga, will wear the No. 4 shirt, which was vacated by Kyle McFadzean following his departure to Chesterfield last month.

Emmanuel Dennis, who arrived on loan from Nottingham Forest, takes the No. 42 shirt, while fellow forward Cauley Woodrow, who joined on loan from Luton Town, will wear the No. 45 during his time at Ewood Park.

Additionally, Augustus Kargbo, who joined on a permanent deal from the Italian side Cesena, has been assigned the No. 47 shirt.

Supporters should note that players under the age of 21 who are permanent Rovers players, such as Harry Leonard, do not need to be registered in the 25-man squad.
