World Cup: Zimbabwe Coach Warns Nigeria - "We Are Not Out Yet"

Ahead of the next round of qualifiers, Zimbabwe’s national team coach, Michael Nees, has cautioned Nigeria's Super Eagles and other teams in their group not to dismiss his side's chances, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Currently sitting at the bottom of Group C with 2 points from 4 matches, Zimbabwe will travel to Nigeria on matchday 5 of the qualifiers.

In an interview with Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Online TV, the 57-year-old German coach emphasized that the group remains wide open.

“We’re not out yet,” Nees stated.

 “We need to deliver strong performances and stay in the race. It’s clear from the table—we’re on two points, with a goal difference of minus four—but the group is far from decided. We still have six games to go, offering 18 points to fight for."

 “It’s crucial that we make a strong comeback in March. We’ll give everything we’ve got and ensure we’ve left it all on the field. Let’s see how things unfold,” he added.

Rwanda leads the group with 7 points, followed by South Africa in second and the Benin Republic in third. Lesotho sits in fourth with 5 points, while the Super Eagles are in fifth with 3 points.
