The Super Eagles of Nigeria will begin their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda on March 16th in Kigali, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

A top official from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed to a Guardian correspondent that the invited players will converge in Kigali ahead of the crucial fixture.

“As we did during the match against Benin Republic last year, the players will fly directly to Kigali, starting on Sunday, March 16th, with the last group set to arrive by March 18th,” the official said.

“Coach Eric Sekou Chelle is currently in Europe speaking with the players he plans to include in the squad, and I can assure you that this will no longer be an open camp. Only players who will genuinely contribute to the team's success will be considered.”

The Super Eagles will face Rwanda’s Amavubi at Amahoro Stadium on March 21st, before hosting Zimbabwe in a subsequent match.
