Zimbabwe's head coach, Michael Nees, is determined to pull off a historic upset as the Warriors face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Although Nigeria, a three-time Africa Cup of Nations champion, is the clear favourite, Nees believes the Super Eagles are vulnerable and that his team has a chance to spring a surprise.

"Like us, Nigeria is under pressure. They’re like wounded lions, eager to bounce back after a poor start to the qualifiers," Nees said.

"It’s going to be an exciting match, and Nigeria is beatable in Uyo."

Currently, Nigeria sits fifth in Group C with three points from four matches, while Zimbabwe is at the bottom with two points.
