Foreign based Super Falcons to arrive Nigeria Nov. 5 By Admin Super Falcons’ foreign based players will resume to camp on Monday 5, November, 2018 ahead of the 2018 African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) scheduled to hold in Ghana. Our correspondent who visited the camp yesterday at Jubilee Chalets Epe, Lagos discovered that team secretary, Coach Thomas Dennerby and some officials were at the camping ground without any of the invited players in camp. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had released a statement that the camp would be opened for players yesterday, but the team’s Media Officer, Mr. Harry Awurumibe said revealed that the 19 foreign based players were expected to report to the camp on Monday 5, November, 2018 having provided with their tickets. Awurumibe added that some home based players are still engage in club duties in the ongoing Nigerian Women Premier League, and would also report to camp after weekend matches. “The Nigerian Women Premier League is on, Nasarawa Amazons are on the road to Akure, and there are six players from that team that were invited so they will either be fighting to escape relegation or get promotion,” he said. The 2018 AWCON tournament will hold from Saturday 17th November – December 11 in Ghana.
